Azul Cielo beautiful hostal Tremendous surprise with this picturesque, cozy and central place. The attention was super good, the beautiful place, access to the center on foot, the room small but cute, clean and colorful. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reasonably priced option.

Great stay! We loved the inner garden and really enjoyed the general calmness of the hostel. The staff was great and our room was very clean. The center is just a small walk and it is nice to discover new spots along the way. We would definitely recommend it!

Azul Cielo really made my trip to Oaxaca! Azul Cielo is a really special place. Rooms surround a colorful garden courtyard, and the staff is friendly and helpful to an extreme (shoutouts to Eli and Sergio!). I'm older than your average backpacker, and was grateful that this place was very social but in a chill way - not a party hostel. Free delicious breakfast is a good time to meet other travelers of diverse ages and nationalities. Clean and COVID-safe. Staff did everything they could to make my visit easy and fun. Dorm rooms are about US $10/day - can't imagine a better bargain. Les agradezco mucho Azul Cielo!

First hostel, great stay! I stayed in the 10 person dorm, and had a great experience. There are 5 bunk beds, each with their own storage locker. The room gets cleaned daily by hostel staff. The shower water is hot, and the daily breakfast is great! They also offer two different tours to landmarks near Oaxaca city. A note on the breakfast: It starts at 0830. I do NOT have a problem with this, but I witnessed some other travelers get really irate over the fact. Sounded like they were from Europe...Anyways, if you like to eat when it's still dark out, my advice would be to try another hostel:)

Best Hostel in a beautiful city Azul Cielo was by far the best Hostel experience we‘ve had. The hostel and the rooms are beautiful and charming. The staff is super helpful and friendly. When my daughter forgot one of her beloved pencils in the breakfast area, the staff found it and gave it back to her the next morning. And regarding the breakfast: there are fruits, cereals, coffee, tea etc. and one tasteful main course that changed daily. The hostel is located in a not super touristy but authentic area, very near to the best spots of Oaxaca. And you can get all of that for a very good price! Furthermore we were especially thankful to have had Sergio at the reception, who helped us out at any time during our stay and even afterwards with anything we needed. He really saved the day for us! We’ve never met a more helpful and friendly person on our travels and we‘ll gladly return to Oaxaca and go to Azul Cielo again.

The best hostel in Oaxaca I stayed two weeks, I was planning to stay only one but the place and the internet are so good that we decided to stay another week. The rooms are very large and spacious, the beds very comfortable and I loved the pillows. Everything very clean, Mrs. Mary and another girl are cleaning every day. If you pay for a room they give you towels, if you can't rent it then it's perfect for not carrying towels in your suitcase. The staff is really friendly, the penultimate day I fell and scraped my knee horribly, the staff helped me, gave me things from the medicine cabinet and brought me ice to the room, always super friendly. The breakfasts that are included are quite filling, they give you coffee, milk or tea, toasted bread (it's super good) and there is always a different stew, you can also opt for cereal. We went for work and the internet is great, better than at home, it didn't fail us for a single day and that I gave some conferences and meetings without fail. If you go to work, the terrace is a good place to work. They also have the silence rule after 11, so after that time everything is super quiet. Sometimes they have a terrace service, they play music from 6 to 10 with a barman and cocktails, very tasty mojitos and mezcal margaritas at a good price. In short, many good things, I highly recommend it.
